Description

The M-Chuck™ Live Center Kit with sphere cups is a urethane based chucking system for completing spheres and spherical hollows created with the Perfect Sphere™ system.

The system ships with the small 2" removable and replaceable urethane cups that can accommodate most size spheres 6" and smaller and allows for final turning, sanding and finishing of spheres.

The large version can accommodate sphere sizes from 5" to around 12" and clicks right into the existing face of your M-Chuck system. Thus instead of having to buy many chucks for multiple sizes you just need to buy one kit and purchase the urethane inserts in the size you need for the project you are working on.

The system comes complete with one M-Chuck™ head with 3/4 10 internal threads which are also machined to fit our FACE-OFF™ threaded collars, two 2" urethane sphere cups one Morse taper #2 for the drive side and one dual sealed ball bearing live center cup for the tailstock side. No other parts are necessary to use the system.

Mounting is simple and quick with the drive side using the included morse taper number two (MT2). Then the tail stock side slips right in with the attached MT2 live center.

The primary function of the M-Chuck™ with sphere cups is to turn off the center nubs from the initial turning with the Perfect Sphere™ system. Then it can be used for all final shaping, sanding or finishing required. The compound used in the M-Chuck™ sphere cups is non-marring urethane which provides superior grip to a standard wood chuck and combine that with true running aircraft aluminum bases and you have the ultimate chucking system.
